The caves are formed by the water reacting with the limestone, there are both marine and inland caves and the island has Europe’s largest underground lake, Lake Martel. There are five caves open to the public, Arta, Campanet, Drac, Genova and Hams.

In Mallorca bull fighting is still held in high esteem. The judges decide on the outcome depending on the quality of the bull and the moves of the matador. If you have attended a bull fight on the mainland at one of the great arenas in Barcelona or Madrid, then the Mallorcan bullfight may not seem as enthralling, however for first time spectators it is an experience of mixed emotions and most definitely not for the squeamish. When buying tickets for a bullfight, seats in the sun are cheaper than seats in the shade, and strange enough seats that are sunny and then become shaded are priced in-between.
