This is a large bustling resort with many beautiful scenic bays such as Cala Ferrera, Cala Gran, Cala Longa and Cala Esmeralda. It is situated in the southeast section of the island and was founded by Jose Costa, a native from Ibiza who built the very first housing estate. You can still see the defence towers built to warn of attacks from pirates in the 16th century. The beaches are narrow yet golden and the sea gently caresses the sand. This is a perfect resort for families with good sporting facilities and beautiful waterfront restaurants. There are magnificent luxury yachts anchored in the harbour alongside traditional Mallorcan fishing boats, this is where you can sit and dream and watch life pass by slowly. The people are extremely friendly and very hospitable.
Cala D'Or has a lively nightlife & tasteful nightlife scene centred around the heart of the town. It also has a thriving gay community with the Dirty Duck being the most well-known gay bar in town.

Sparkles Music Bar and Nightclub
Sparkles is the largest and most vibrant nightclub and sportsbar in Cala Egos. The venue is large and inviting with a huge outdoor terrace offering various flat screen tv's to watch all those favourite sporting events. Why not sit here and enjoy the atmosphere and the extensive menu available along with a wide array of drinks and cocktails. As night draws in come inside and join the party Sparkles is an all in one venue offering a wide selection of modern and past tunes and the opportunity to watch live acts perform, there is also a dancefloor to dance the night away, add to that the famous karaoke nightly fun everyone is catered for. Mañana Cafe Bar
Mañana Chillout bar is in the picturesque Port Petro. We have a large sun terrace overlooking the beautiful marina, where you can sit down and relax and watch the world gently go by and the boats rocking up and down in the distance, the sunset is quite magnificent! We are open all year round and cater for everybody's needs.
We offer light meals and snacks with a wide array of beverages. Music is piped throughout the day with the evening becoming more lively, the atmosphere then is warm and friendly and all our staff ensure you are made welcome again and again. The Cotton Club
This is the Nº1 Nightclub in the centre of Cala D'or for the over 21's. They play a selection of dance, rock, salsa, latin and disco, and have their own V I P lounge where you can buy spirits by the bottle. But you will need to book in advance to ensure that you get a table. Tel: 699 762 525.
